What is the MCS Fund?
The MCS Fund (formerly known as the Annual Fund) supports the current operations of the school while moderating tuition increases. As with virtually every other independent school in the U.S., tuition covers only a portion of the cost of each student’s experience at Montessori Community School. The remaining portion is made possible by gifts to the MCS Fund. Gifts to the MCS Fund provide Montessori Community School with the resources to meet operating expenses, enrich the learning environment, provide professional development opportunities for the faculty and staff, and provide tuition assistance on a needs basis to qualified students. MCS Fund dollars are raised and spent within the same year and are a critical part of the school’s budget. Contributions to MCS are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. If you have only gift to make to MCS this year, the MCS Fund is a terrific option.
