ADMISSIONS OVERVIEW

We are pleased that you are considering a Montessori education for your child.  Our goal is to assist children in developing the skills, knowledge and attitudes to become productive members of their community and respectful of themselves, others and the environment.
 
We consider applications for the Two-Year-Old Program, Preschool Program, Kindergarten Program, Lower Elementary Program and Upper Elementary Program.
 
We invite you to learn more about our Montessori programs by contacting admissions@montessorihawaii.org. In-person tours are not being offered and campus visitors are limited for the time being.  Virtual tours will be available in October 2020. Review the MCS Reopening Plan 2020-2021 to learn how Montessori Community School is working towards providing a safe and healthy environment for our students, staff and families.

HOW TO APPLY (2021-2022 School Year)

STEP 1: Online Application

Starting September 1, 2020, we will begin accepting online applications for all programs (Two-Year-Old, Preschool & Kindergarten, Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary).

STEP 2: Supplemental Forms

For Kindergarten and Elementary Applicants ONLY:

-Include copies of your child's previous year's and most recent report cards or progress reports. 

-Sign and give your child's current teacher the Confidential Teacher Reference Report form.

 

STEP 3: Complete the Application Process

-After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email.

-Request an Admissions School Tour by registering here or contacting the school office at (808)522-0244. Tours are offered mid-October through mid-May and are held on Wednesdays at 8:45 a.m. for adults only.

For Kindergarten Applicants ONLY:

Attend the required Morning Activity Session on Saturday, February 13, 2021, 9:00-10:30 a.m. at MCS.

2021-2022 ADMISSIONS CALENDAR

SEPT. 1, 2020

Online applications for the 2021-2022 school year will be accepted beginning on September 1, 2020.

FEB. 13, 2021

For Kindergarten Applicants ONLY: Morning Activity Session, 9:00-10:30 a.m. at MCS

FEB. 15, 2021

Applications submitted by Feb. 15 will be considered in the first round of admission decisions.

Subsequent applications will be considered as space is available. 

MARCH 2021

First round of acceptance letters will be distributed.

Subsequent acceptance letters will be distributed as space is available. 

MAY 10, 2021

The common reply date for all HAIS schools is May 10.
