The Kindergarten Year

A Unique Developmental Experience

Montessori education is a continuous journey, with each year’s learning building upon the previous one. The child’s development structure is focused on 3-year cycles that introduce, build, and reinforce specific knowledge and concepts. The 3rd year of each of those cycles is significant in the cycle's culmination. Completing the Montessori cycle from Preschool to Kindergarten and then two cycles through Elementary stages allows children to benefit fully from this structured and progressive approach. They gain confidence and competence in a supportive environment that minimizes competition and focuses on individual growth.

Our Kindergarten Program is an important culmination of the preschool stage, preparing children to transition to elementary education. This stage focuses on consolidating knowledge and skills acquired in preschool, developing leadership skills through mentorship to their younger peers, and introducing more complex academic concepts.

Development Focus

Consolidation of early learning skills, further development of reading, writing, mathematical concepts, and establishing a strong foundation for formal education, leadership and mentorship.

Activities

In-depth exploration of language arts, mathematics, science, geography, history, and cultural studies. Emphasis on independent work, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
