We offer four unique, two-week sessions, each packed with hands-on activities, engaging themes, and opportunities for learning and growth. Choose one session or join us for the whole summer – each session is designed to provide a fun, enriching, and unforgettable experience.
Session I
Creating Island Stories
June 8 - June 18
Students learn to tell stories, or moʻolelo, through a variety of art forms, including drawing, painting, and photography. Through hands-on STEM projects and visual storytelling activities, students explore creativity, observation, and problem-solving while learning new ways to express ideas. Inspired by Hawaiʻi and island life, students create and share stories that reflect their experiences, environment, and connection to our island home.
Session III
Creations and Drama by the Sea
July 6 - July 17
Through acting, movement, and imaginative play, students dive into ocean stories and learn how to care for the sea. Using games and storytelling, marine life and island experiences will be brought to the stage while exploring ocean science and sustainability. Along the way, students build confidence, creativity, and teamwork.
Session II
From ʻĀina to Table
June 22 - July 2
Let’s learn how food connects people, culture, and the ʻāina of Hawaiʻi! Students will explore where food comes from by studying endemic plants and animals, traditional and modern food practices, and how people care for natural resources. Through hands-on activities, storytelling, and simple animation projects, students will share their learning about Hawaiian foods and the importance of mālama ʻāina.
Session IV
Nature Keepers (and Writers) of Hawaiʻi)
July 20 - July 31
Students explore nature through art and poetry while learning how to care for the islands. By observing the land and sea, they use what they see and feel to create drawings, crafts, and poems. Students learn why protecting Hawaiʻi’s natural environment is important and how small actions can help mālama ʻāina. Through creative projects, writing, and field trips, students express their appreciation for the beauty of the islands.
